Tianjin Eye is a Ferris wheel built on the Yongle Bridge over the Hai River in Tianjin, China. It’s the world’s only Ferris wheel built on the bridge, which integrated both sightseeing and traffic function. Famous for its elegant and unique structure, it became a must-see landmark to visitors in Tianjin.

The wheel is 120 meters tall (110m-diameter), has 48 cabins, with a capacity of 9 passengers per cabin, and takes 28 minutes to complete a rotation. When the cabins reach the top, passengers will enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the riverside and the cityscape. The wheel provides a skyline view of Tianjin in a radius of 40 km on a clear day, so it was called Tianjin Eye.

In addition, we creatively used servo-drive leveling system to stabilize cabins during wheel rotating, to bring passengers better experience. The project of Tianjin Eye won the first prize in China Construction Corporation Technology Progress Award.

Since its opening in 2009, Tianjin Eye created enormous economic benefits and had great social impacts. Gradually, it becomes a unique spokesman for Tianjin to reveal its attractiveness and creativity to the world. Moreover, Tianjin Eye was voted as “one of the 60 Top Landmarks in China from 1949 to 2009” in an election jointly organized by 32 Chinese major media outlets.
